The 4th Edition of the Automotive Innovation Summit, organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), was held on 25 October 2024 in Chennai under the theme “Driving Tomorrow: Innovations Shaping the Future of Mobility.” The summit brought together leading auto manufacturing brands, OEMs, technology providers, and experts from the automotive industry to explore cutting-edge innovations shaping the future of mobility.The event featured insightful technical sessions covering a wide array of transformative topics, including India’s advances in electric vehicle technology, with a focus on EV adoption, battery technologies, charging ecosystems, and challenges in EV evolution, revolutionising automotive design and engineering, highlighting innovations in vehicle aesthetics, hybrid materials, 3D printing, and user-centric designs; innovations in automotive electronics, addressing connected cars, ADAS, IoT in vehicles, telematics, and cybersecurity for connected platforms; and catalysing a carbon-neutral future, discussing eco-friendly manufacturing practices, emissions control, R&D trends, and Industry 5.0 integration.
