Workshop titled “Driving Innovation with IP: Strategic Approaches to Commercialisation”

Meenakshi Chotia, Associate Partner at LexOrbis, attended the national workshop titled “Driving Innovation with IP: Strategic Approaches to Commercialisation”, held on April 30, 2025, at the historic Faculty Hall of the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru. Organised to commemorate World Intellectual Property Day 2025, the workshop provided a platform for thought leaders and professionals to discuss strategic IP management and commercialisation approaches.
The event was jointly organised by the National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) under the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, in collaboration with IISc. It aligned with the global theme for World IP Day 2025, “IP and Music: Feel the Beat of IP”, celebrating the intersection of intellectual property and the music industry.
Supported by leading institutions including IIIT Bangalore, CMTI, C-DOT, Central Silk Board, BeST Cluster, and IPTel, the workshop brought together participants from academia, research, startups, industry, PSUs, and government. Meenakshi’s participation reflected LexOrbis’ commitment to advancing IP awareness and engaging with key stakeholders on the evolving role of IP in fostering innovation and enabling commercial success.
